Configuring the RCIP links

If the RCIP ports were not set up during the initial setup of the storage system, assign unique IP addresses to the RCIP ports. If the source and target systems are on different subnets, assign a gateway.

Prerequisites

Prepared the Remote Copy over IP (RCIP) hardware connections.
Obtained the N:S:P, IP addresses, subnet mask, gateway (optional), and port speed details for the RCIP ports from your network administrator.

Procedure

On the HPE SSMC main menu, select Ports under STORAGE SYSTEMS.
In the list pane, select Port ID (N:S:P) for an RCIP port, and then select Actions > Edit.

TIP:
To quickly locate the RCIP ports, select the Protocol filter and select RCIP.
To add the IP address, subnet mask, gateway (if needed), Maximum Transmission Units (MTU), and configured rate, follow the instructions on the screen.
Click OK.
Repeat this procedure for each RCIP port on each storage system.
