The installation of vRealize network insight involves provisioning and configuring two appliances in the environment and the appliances are called as Network Insight Platform and Proxy (collector) appliances.
Prerequisites
Ensure that vRealize Network Insight Platform and proxy OVA file are present in the location accessible to vCenter management server.
Procedure

To deploy vRealize network insight Platform appliance see Deployment using vSphere Web Client section in
VMware vRealize Network Insight Product Documentation.
NOTE: Ensure that vSAN datastore is selected while installing vRealize Network Insight and VM_MGMT Network is selected while selecting the network for vRealize Network Insight deployment.

To activate the License, see Activating the License section in
VMware vRealize Network Insight Product Documentation.

To generate a secret key, see Generating Shared Secret section in
VMware vRealize Network Insight Product Documentation.

After the secret key is generated do not close the Platform appliance web console. Copy this key onto the clipboard, as this secret key is required to deploy vRealize Network Insight Proxy OVA.

Check the status of the deployment in Platform appliance web console. If the deployment is successful,
Proxy Detected!
status is reflected at the bottom of the screen.

Finish to complete the deployment.
