Recovering a Remote Copy group

Manually recover a group if the auto synchronize policy is not enabled and the Remote Copy group failed over. For Peer Persistence configurations, see Recovering a Peer Persistence failover.

Prerequisites

  • The DR state is Failover.

  • The reason for the failure is resolved and the Remote Copy links are up.

Procedure
  1. On the HPE SSMC main menu, select Remote Copy Groups under DATA PROTECTION.
  2. In the list pane, select the Remote Copy group, and then select Actions > Recover.
  3. By default, the Remote Copy group starts after the recover operation. To prevent the Remote Copy group from starting automatically, select Do not start groups after role reversal is completed.
  4. Click Recover.
  5. To confirm the recovery, select the check box about understanding the implications, and then click Yes, recover.
