Hardware configuration failure

Symptom

The container moves to an error state during hardware configuration for VIM controllers, storage, and compute nodes.

Action
  1. Check the logs of the failed container in the following directory: 
    /var/nps/logs/<topology_name>/<topology_name>_<server_IP>_redfish_raid_<date>.log
    The errors are seen in the logs as shown in the following examples:



  2. Log in to the BIOS of the failed servers and delete the logical drives.
  3. Perform the hardware configuration again from the NPS toolkit VM for all the failed servers using the following commands: 
    nps deploy -s hw_prep -l debug -sl "<server_ip>" -a raid
