View an activity

On the Activity screen, click the expand icon ( ) that appears next to an activity to view more details about the activity, including some or all of the following information:) that appears next to an activity to view more details about the activity, including some or all of the following information:

  • Resolution

    When possible, messages can include corrective action for resources with Critical or Warning alerts. Messages are not generated for user-initiated tasks.

  • Notes

    You can add notes to alerts to pass information along to the alert owner, if an owner has been assigned. You cannot add notes to user-initiated tasks.

  • Event details

    Use the expand icon to view more information about an event to pinpoint the specific resource where the alert originated. Event details contain attribute name-value pairs and might provide corrective action.

Minimum required privileges: Any user role

Procedure

  1. From the main menu, select Activity.
  2. If the activity you want is not shown on the screen, filter the list of activities.
  3. To select an activity, click anywhere in the row. Clicking it again deselects it. Alternatively, you can click another activity to deselect the first and select the second.
  4. Use the expand icon ( ) to view all details about the activity. ) to view all details about the activity.

To read an alert while the appliance is still receiving alerts, use the Load more feature to stabilize the screen display.

To view activities as they arrive, click Top to scroll to the top of the Activity list. This shows you the most recent activities as they arrive.
