Adding an email notification

Procedure
  1. On the left pane of the vSphere Web Client, click HPE RMC-V.
  2. On the left pane of the RMC-V plug-in, click Settings.
  3. Click the Email Notification tab.
  4. Click Create new notification.
  5. Specify the following details:
    Name

    A name for the notification policy.

    SMTP Server and Port

    Name or IP address of the SMTP server. Select the port number used for SMTP traffic.

    Sender Email Address

    Email address for the sender.

    Password

    Password corresponding to the email address of the sender. Select Show password to view the password.

    SSL

    Select to use SSL. Emails are SSL/TLS encrypted.

    TEST EMAIL CONFIGURATION

    Click to test the email configuration specified.

    Enable Notifications

    Select to receive the notifications over email.

    Receiver Email Address

    Semicolon-separated list of recipient email addresses.

  6. Select your alert preferences.

    Select Select All to receive all notifications - error and generic information of all the operations performed.

    You can also choose to receive error or generic notifications for only selected operations.

  7. Click Submit.
