The controlport rcip ping command does not succeed

Symptom

The CLI controlport rcip ping command does not work after repeated attempts.

Action
  1. Verify the following with your network administrator:

    • The physical connections and cabling were set up correctly.

    • Your firewall is set to allow traffic over the designated RCIP ports (TCP 5785, 5001).

    • You do not have duplicate IP addresses in your network.

  2. If the pings still do not succeed, contact your network administrator.
