Remote Copy throughput and performance tuning

By default, Remote Copy sends data as fast as possible on all links between a Remote Copy pair. You can limit RCIP throughput so that data is sent at a data transfer rate (throughput) less than or equal to the maximum limit of the IP network. For example, limit throughput if you have a leased line that charges based on the bit rate used. Set throughput limits when configuring or editing the RCIP target.

NOTE:

Throughput limits are not recommended for Remote Copy groups in synchronous mode. Setting a throughput limitation can result in higher latency for host writes to the primary volumes for synchronously replicated Remote Copy groups.
