Manually synchronizing a Remote Copy group

Manually synchronize a Remote Copy group if:

  • You did not select Initial Sync when you created the Remote Copy group.

  • The auto synchronize policy on the group is disabled and a failover occurs. Wait until the system completely recovers and the links are re-established before synchronizing.

  • The auto synchronize policy on the group is disabled and you perform a switch over.

Procedure
  1. On the HPE SSMC main menu, select Remote Copy Groups under DATA PROTECTION.
  2. In the list pane, select the Remote Copy group, and then select Actions > Sync.
  3. To synchronize a group on one target when you have multiple targets, select the target system from the drop-down list.

    The default is All.

  4. Click Sync to proceed.
  5. To view the synchronization activity:
    1. Select the Activity view from the drop-down list.
    2. Expand the Remote Copy Sync activity.

      The start and end time for the synchronization and the duration displays.

  6. To view the Sync State, Sync Percent, and the Last Synced date and time, select the Volume Pairs view.
