Synchronization with asynchronous periodic mode Remote Copy groups

Initial synchronization takes a snapshot of all the virtual volumes in the source Remote Copy group and replicates those snapshots to the target system. After the snapshot data is replicated to the target system, a second set of delta snapshots is taken on the source system. The difference between the initial snapshot and the set of delta snapshots is sent to the target system. The process continues until the difference between the snapshots falls within the defined delta resynchronization interval for the group. This interval is the defined "period" value of the group that is specified when the group is created.

After initial synchronization completes, periodic asynchronous Remote Copy enters delta resynchronization mode. Delta resynchronization snapshots are created over every period value and the delta data is sent to the target system. The delta data is the change between the previous delta resynchronization snapshot and the new delta resynchronization snapshot.
