HPE Primera Remote Copy overview

HPE Primera Remote Copy is a data replication software solution for HPE Primera and HPE 3PAR storage systems. Replicating data to remote locations provides data protection and sharing. When you combine Remote Copy with appropriate clustering technology, services, and processes, it can serve as the foundation for a disaster recovery solution.

With Remote Copy you can:

• Set up and test configurations quickly using HPE SSMC version 3.6 or later.

• Leverage existing infrastructure with native IP support eliminating the need for dedicated or specialized infrastructure.

• Automate transparent failover between sites with HPE Peer Persistence.

• Replicate synchronously providing consistent data sets between a pair of storage systems.

• Replicate asynchronously in periodic mode providing point in time, consistent data sets between a pair of storage systems.

• Replicate to a third system at a geographic distance with synchronous long distance (SLD) or three data center Peer Persistence (3DC PP).
