Migrating virtual volumes, app volume sets, and virtual volume sets (Peer Motion)

  1. On the main menu, do one of the following:

    • Select Block Persona > Virtual Volumes.

    • Select Block Persona > Virtual Volume Sets.

    • Select Block Persona > App Volume Sets.

  2. In the list pane, select the virtual volumes or virtual volume sets to migrate, and then select Start Peer Motion on the Actions menu.

    To perform peer motion for an App Volume Set:
    1. Select an app volume set from the list pane of App Volume Sets screen. Click the associated virtual volume set of the corresponding app volume set in the Overview screen.

      Result: The corresponding associated virtual volume set appears in the virtual volume set screen.

    2. Select the Start Peer Motion action for the associated virtual volume set.

    You can perform peer motion on the associated VV Set of an app volume set. After a successful migration operation, you can see the corresponding VV Set and its virtual volumes in the target storage system.

  3. Follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.
