Virtual volume types
A virtual volume can be a base type, clone, or snapshot.
Base. A base virtual volume is a virtual volume that is not a clone or a snapshot.
Clone. A clone is a virtual volume that contains a physical copy of the data from another virtual volume at a point in time. Learn more: Clones (physical copies).
