Restore points

Restore points refers to a snapshot, snapshot set, backup set, or copy set which represents point in time copy of data on a target specified in the protection policies at specified schedule.

Restore points provides the privilege of being able to operate on objects and perform actions namely attach, detach, restore, and delete without going into details of the object type and location. Restore points enables the user to identify the most recent point-in-time copy of the data on any target and help them to restore if there is a data recovery.

You can define different levels of protection for a host using restore points. The snapshot, snapshot sets, and backup sets enable you to create a backup across storage systems in a data center. The copy sets can create a backup across data center.
