Editing system (Remote Support Configuration)

To edit the Remote support configuration details, do the following:

  1. On the main menu, select Storage Systems > Systems > Edit.
  2. You can edit your preferences in the Remote Support Configuration panel available on the Edit dialog.

    You can enable or disable the following options:

    1. Send support data to HPE: Enabling the option allows periodic collection and transfer of files from the storage system to HPE remote support team.
    2. Allow remote access to HPE support: Enabling the option allows an HPE support personnel to remotely access the storage system for troubleshooting purpose.
    3. Receive update recommendation: You can enable or disable the update recommendations option.
    4. Allow software downloads: You can enable or disable the allow software downloads option. Enabling the option automatically downloads the updates from HPE InfoSight when an update package is available. The update is applicable to the selected storage system.
    5. Remote support proxy: If you enable the Remote support proxy option, you can set the:
      • Protocol: Set the protocol of the proxy server.

      • HTTP proxy name/IP: Enter the host name or IP address of the Proxy server.

      • Proxy port: Port number that communicates with the Proxy server.

      • Proxy authentication: Enabling the proxy authentication option allows you to enter the credentials of the proxy.

      You can hover over fields to view more information in the tooltips.

  3. When you have completed your choices, click OK to start the action and close the dialog.
