Create Remote Copy Group

Enter or select your choices for required and optional settings.

If you want the remote virtual volumes to be created automatically, accept the default setting Create automatically. To specify the remote virtual volumes to be used, select Create manually, and then on the Volume Pairs panel click the edit icon () for the source volume and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.) for the source volume and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

If you enable the Auto synchronize option and perform a failover operation, an automatic switchover occurs. You do not have to perform a separate Recover and Restore operation. The Auto synchronize option is disabled by default.

To specify Auto recover option select the Advanced options check box at the top of the dialog.

If the source storage system supports a second target for SLD or 3DC Peer Persistence, the Additional target option is displayed. When you enable the option, the Second Target panel and Peer Persistence panels are displayed.

Target

Select the target storage system and associated settings.

Second Target

If the panel is displayed, you can specify a second target storage system for the Remote Copy group.

Peer Persistence

If the panel is displayed, you can specify Peer Persistence settings for the Remote Copy group.

Volume Pairs

To add source virtual volumes, click Add source volumes and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

When you have completed your choices, click Create to start the action and close the dialog, or click Create + to start the action and keep the dialog open.
