Tip: To change a global setting, hover over the appropriate settings panel, and then click the edit icon () that appears near the panel name. ) that appears near the panel name.

Capacity Formats. The Capacity Formats panel shows the units of measure and decimal formats that are used when capacities are displayed.

Main Menu Compact View. The Main Menu Compact View panel summarizes the screen categories that can be included in the compact version of the main menu.

All indicates that the compact menu includes all screens in the screen category. None indicates that the compact menu does not include any screens in the screen category.

A numeric value indicates that the compact menu includes some screens for the category. For example, 1/3 indicates that the compact menu includes one of the three possible screens in the category.

System Reporter. The System Reporter panel shows settings for scheduled reports.

Tip: To see tooltips for System Reporter settings, hover over the System Reporter panel, and then click the edit icon ( ) ) near the panel name. On the Edit Global Settings dialog, hover over the fields to display the tooltips.

SMTP. The SMTP panel shows configuration settings for the SMTP server.

Other Formats. The Other Formats panel shows the formats that are used when date and time and WWNs are displayed.

Tip: Browser option settings for languages also affect the date and time format. For example, showing English (United Kingdom) 24-hour format or English (United States) showing 12-hour, AM/PM format.

Preferences. The Preferences panel indicates whether a global setting is enabled.

Dialog Window Default Display. The Dialog Window Default Display panel summarizes whether certain collapsible content in dialogs is collapsed or expanded when the dialogs open.

All indicates that all settings in the category are selected for expanded content. None indicates that no settings in the category are selected for expanded content.

Application. The Application panel displays version information for the instance of HPE SSMC.

  • Stop logins on first failure

  • Connectivity to HPE InfoSight

  • Advanced system performance and analytics reporting

You can also enter the proxy address, port, username, and password for the HPE InfoSight connection in the Application panel. The username and password fields are not mandatory

HPE InfoSight. The HPE InfoSight panel displays the login credentials and certificate (mandatory only in FIPS mode) for the HPE InfoSight account.
