Restoring Remote Copy group (File Provisioning Groups)

A restore action restores the replication for the Remote Copy group to a state before the failover.

Recovery action causes:
  • File Provisioning Groups to be:
    • Writable by hosts connected to the source storage system.

    • Non-writable by hosts connected to the target storage system.

  • Remote Copy Group role to become primary on the source and secondary on the target storage system.

  • Remote Copy Group to start after restore is complete.

Procedure
  1. On the main menu, select File Persona > File Provisioning Groups.
  2. In the list pane, select an FPG, and then click Restore remote copy group on the Actions menu.

    The Restore Remote Copy group dialog opens.

  3. Displays the Remote Copy Groups in a tabular format with the following information:
    Name

    Name of the Remote Copy Group.

    Configuration

    Displays the Remote Copy configuration.

    Source System

    Name of the source storage system.

    DR State

    Displays the disaster recovery state for the Remote Copy Group.

    Writable LUNs

    Name of the writable LUN.

    Target System

    Name of the target storage system.

  4. When you have completed your choices, click Restore to start the action and close the dialog; otherwise click Cancel.
