Create File Share

You can hover over fields to display tooltips.

Tip: You can select the Advanced options check box at the top of the dialog to specify additional options for an NFS share, SMB share, and FTP share.

General

Select the type of file share to create: NFS share, SMB share, Object share, or FTP share. Enter or select your choices for required and optional settings.

Share Path

To specify a virtual file server for all share types, click Select and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

To specify a file store for all share types, click Select and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

Additional Settings

You can click the expand icons () to see more setting choices.

For an NFS share and SMB share, the Client Filter List displays clients that are available. To add a client, click Add and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens. To change a client, click its edit icon () and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

For an NFS share and SMB share, Permissions displays file share permissions and privileges. To add a permission for an SMB share, click Add and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

Settings provides more control for NFS and SMB access settings.

Export Options allows you to enter options for NFS shares.

File Access Audit Settings. If supported by the HPE Storage OS, you can select these settings for NFS shares.

Audit SMB Event. If supported by the HPE Storage OS, you can select these settings for SMB file shares.

When you have completed your choices, click Create to start the action and close the dialog.
