Import Configuration

First, select the storage system whose configuration you want to import, and then choose the configuration settings and resources that you want to import into the storage federation.

General

The name of the federation configuration that you want to import is displayed.

Import From

To choose the storage system whose configuration you want to import, click Select source and follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.

Configuration

After you have selected the storage system to import from, the check boxes indicate the configuration settings and resources that you are allowed to import. To see details about a setting or resource, click its expand icon (). To not include an allowed setting or resource in the import, clear its check box.). To not include an allowed setting or resource in the import, clear its check box.

To migrate a specified volume, enable the Migration only selected volumes option. You can enable the volume set option which automatically enables the host set option also. Specify the volume set and host set names in the respective fields. These settings are available only for a non-3PAR array.

If the destination array host ports support Smart SAN, you can select Yes or No for Use Smart SAN host ports field in the Host configuration. If Smart SAN is not supported at the host port, a warning message is displayed.

In a non-3PAR storage system you can specify configuration settings only for Host. An additional option to add a host is available in the host configuration settings. If you have not selected a port for the storage system, you cannot use Smart SAN to create hosts.

When you have completed your choices, click Import to start the action and close the dialog.
