Edit Virtual Volume

Tip: You can select the Advanced options check box at the top of the dialog to specify CPG options for Allocation warning, Allocation limit (when supported), and for virtual volume Policies.

General

Name

Name for the virtual volume.

System

Storage system in which the virtual volume is created.

Domain

The domain in which the virtual volume is created.

Provisioning

Displays whether the virtual volume is Thin Provisioned or Fully Provisioned.

Dedup

Displays whether the virtual volume you want to edit is deduplicated.

Compression

Displays if compression is enabled or disabled for the virtual volume.

CPG

Displays the CPG assigned to the virtual volume.

Size

Size for the virtual volume in MiB, GiB, or TiB.

App Volume set

You can create an app volume set and associate the virtual volumes to the app volume set. You can also edit the app volume set associated to the virtual volume.

Application

Application for which the app volume set is created or for which you want to create.

Enter or select your choices for required and optional settings.

Additional Settings

To specify settings such as Copy CPG and Volume set, click the Volume expand icon ( ).

To view the virtual volume associated to an existing Remote Copy group, click the Remote Copy Group expand icon ( ).

To view a snapshot policy from the available list, click the Snapshots expand icon ( ). You can view the changes applied to the Snapshot policy name.

To view a protection policy for an associated virtual volume, click the RMC Protection expand icon ().

Policies

You can enter or select your choices for these advanced options.

When you have completed your choices, click OK to start the action and close the dialog.
