Remote Copy volumes and synchronization
To reduce the impact of synchronization on the performance of the storage systems, Remote Copy manages the number of virtual volumes that synchronize at the same time. For example, if Remote Copy is in the process of resynchronizing virtual volumes in an asynchronous periodic mode volume group, some of the first volumes complete synchronization before some of the last volumes start synchronizing.
To view resynchronizations, monitor the
SyncStatus
column of the
showrcopy
command output.
