Synchronization with asynchronous streaming mode

Full synchronization

If the volumes in a Remote Copy group have never been synchronized, a full synchronization begins when the group is started.

While the primary and secondary volume groups are synchronizing again, the primary system accepts I/O and sends it to the secondary system. The ordering between host I/Os and initial synchronization I/Os is preserved.

Resynchronization

Periodically (hourly by default), resynchronization points (coordinated snapshots) are created on the primary and secondary Remote Copy groups. After asynchronous streaming mode volume groups are stopped, the last coordinated snapshot is used to resynchronize the primary and secondary volume groups when the groups are restarted.
