Three Data Center Peer Persistence configuration

Three Data Center Peer Persistence (3DC-PP) enables the data from the Peer Persistence configuration to also replicate to a third storage system. The communication links and targets for the three systems are set up like an SLD topology.

  • The synchronous targets are configured for Peer Persistence.

  • The asynchronous targets to the third location are configured for asynchronous periodic replication.

  • The Quorum Witness connections are set up the same as a standard 1-to-1 Peer Persistence configuration.

The Quorum Witness must be located on a public network and not co-located with either of the synchronous storage systems. The location of the tertiary or periodic asynchronous target system is an ideal location for the Quorum Witness, provided it is not on the same site with one of the synchronous target systems.
