Generate Support Packages

You need administrator privileges to generate and manage support packages.

You can use the Administrator or Operator roles to generate and manage the support packages.

To generate support packages, click Settings > Manage Support Packages > Generate New Packages.

Support packages consist of logs and system reports. Data in the logs is used by support engineering team to resolve product issues and support requests. All the logs or reports (selected by the user) are packaged into a single folder.

The files are available in

C:\ProgramData\HPE StoreEasy management console\HPETelemetryService
\supportPackages

The naming convention used is

SerialNum_STOREEASY_timestamp.zip

You can download the support package to your local client system (from where the browser is being used) using HPE StoreEasy management console.

To download the support package:
  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Support Packages. It displays the list of support packages on the appliance.

  2. Select the package you want to download and click Download icon.

The HPE StoreEasy Storage system retains previously generated support packages. HPE recommends that you delete older packages as they consume space on the system drive.

To delete support packages:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Support Packages. It displays the list of support packages on the appliance.

  2. Select the package you want to delete and click Delete icon.

    To delete the packages in bulk, select multiple packages and click Delete icon.

Deleted packages get removed from your appliance and cannot be recovered.
