You can change the properties of directory quota templates. For example, you can change the capacity limit or add, change, or remove thresholds. After editing the template, you save the template. You also have the choice to apply the changes to directory quotas that were created from the template.
Procedure

Select
from the left navigation menu.

Click any of the existing directory quota templates that you choose to modify from the
Quota Templates page. Then click edit (
) on the top right-side of the page.

If applicable, update the properties for capacity limit, template name, and description.

To modify or add a threshold, click
+ in the
Thresholds section.
- To change the threshold limit, click
+ or
- or type in the new percentage.
- Determine which threshold trigger actions to change or set. Choose one or more.

Determine whether to update any existing directory quotas created from this template.
If you want to save the template and not change the directory quotas that were created from this template, select
Do not update derived quotas. The directory quota template is saved so that any future quotas created from the template use the new properties. Any existing quotas are not changed. Existing quotas function with their existing properties. These quotas are not changed unless you edit the quota and change the template.
If you want to save the template and change only the directory quotas that match the original template properties, select
Only update quotas that match the template. These directory quotas reflect the new template properties. Directory quota that were changed from the original template are not impacted.
If you want to save the template and update all directory quotas that were created from the original template, select
Update all derived quotas. All directory quotas that were created from the template, regardless of any modifications that were made to the directory quota, are updated with the new template properties.
