Creating a directory quota from a template using the HPE StoreEasy management console

Create a directory quota to set limits on the storage capacity of HPE StoreEasy Storage system users. Create the directory quotas on file share subdirectories or a specific path. Use an existing quota template to create your quota.

NOTE:

If you create a hard quota and the quota usage is 100%, additional data cannot be added to the share or directory. Therefore, set the quota limit to a capacity that exceeds the current utilization of the selected share or directory.

Procedure
  1. Select Quotas from the left navigation menu in the management console.
  2. Select the add icon ().

    You can create a quota either by specifying the file share or path.

  3. To create a quota on a file share:
    1. Enable the Select Share toggle button ().
    2. Select the file share from the File Share drop-down menu, or click Create new File Share.

    3. In the Template section, select the directory quota template from the Quota Template drop-down menu.

    4. Click Create.
  4. To create a quota by path:
    1. Disable the Select Share toggle button.
    2. In the Quota Path section, enter the path of the existing subdirectory in which you want to create a quota.
    3. In the Template section, select the quota template from the Quota Template drop-down menu.
    4. Click Create.
