Properties Description
Name The user-friendly display name of the Smart Array controller, for example, HPE Smart Array P408e-p SR Gen10 in Slot 1.
State

Health state of the Smart Array controller.

  • Healthy: The Smart Array controller reports a healthy state. There are no observable issues with the hardware.

  • Warning: The Smart Array controller reports a degraded state. There are hardware issues that hinder the controller to operate properly. Typical causes for a degraded state include smart array cache battery failures, power supply failures, failed drives, or failed fans.

  • Critical: The Smart Array controller reports a critical state and the issue requires immediate attention. Refer to the health state message to identify the needed action.

Firmware Version The version of the firmware installed in the controller. This value can be used to help identify a particular revision of the controller.
Manufacturer The name of the Smart Array controller manufacturer.
Drive Enclosures

The names of the drive enclosures attached to this Smart Array controller.

The name of the drive enclosure includes the location of the Smart Array controller it is attached to and the SAS ports.

For example, the internal drive enclosure of an HPE StoreEasy 1660 is named 0_1I:1,0_2I:2,0_3I:3 where:
  • 0 indicates that the Smart Array controller is in slot 0.

  • 1I, 2I, and 3I indicates the three internal SAS ports.

  • 1, 2, and 3 indicates three boxes.

For example, an external drive enclosure is named 1_1I:1 where:
  • 1 indicates that the Smart Array controller is in slot 1.

  • 1I indicates one external port.

  • 1 indicates one box.

Arrays The number of storage arrays in this storage subsystem.
