Setting your system date, time, and time zone using HPE StoreEasy management console

The date, time, and time zone can be adjusted using the management console. For example, when the system is moved from one time zone into another, or when the system clock is out of synchronization with the rest of the environment.

You can configure the date, time, and time zone to make sure that the correct time stamps for snapshots, event log entries, file access time stamps, and other features of the system. Review scheduled tasks and make any necessary adjustments. To modify the date, time and time zone using the management console:

Procedure
  1. Navigate to Settings > System and click Date and time settings.
  2. To make sure that the date, time, and time zone are set automatically:
    1. Set date & time automatically to automatically synchronize the date and time with a time server to make sure the time displayed on your system is accurate.
    2. Select the Internet time server to which the date, time, and time zone will be synchronized
    3. Set time zone automatically to synchronize the time zone with the time server.
    NOTE:

    The Network Time Protocol (NTP), as the time server, is setup for synchronization of the date and time during the Initial Configuration Tasks(ICT) of the HPE StoreEasy Storage system.

  3. To set the date and time and time zone manually, select one or more of the following options:
    1. Turn off the Set date & time automatically and manually enter the date and time.
    2. Turn off the Set time zone automatically and manually select the time zone.
  4. Click Auto-adjust for daylight saving time to synchronize time if the daylight saving applies.
  5. Save your settings to make sure that the latest settings are available to management console and system.
