  • Use Performance RAID Controller-HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR G10 Controller

  • Supported RAID:
    • Raid 1

    • Minimum Drive count : 2

Customization Option

For non-NEBS options, you can choose from the hardware list in the HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Server QuickSpecs available

However, ensure that your choices meet the minimum requirements specified in the VMware Knowledge Base

Resource POD

HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Servers with dual socket Gen2 Intel Xeon scalable family processors.

Validated Configuration

  • DL380 NEBS max = 16 drives, augmented by P816i-a SR array controller

  • 6x1.8TB SAS HDD12G Enterprise 10K SFF

  • 2x400GB SAS SSD12G Write Intensive SFF

Blueprint Design Consideration

1.8TB HDD provides highest levels of performance and reliability for mission-critical and I/O-intensive applications.
  • Use Performance RAID Controller - HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10 Controller

  • Supported RAID:
    • Raid 1

    • Minimum Drive count : 2

Customization Option

For non-NEBS options, one of the key parameter for selection of hardware is " Core count based on workload requirements". For specific customized hardware components, select from the hardware list in the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server QuickSpecs
NOTE:

DL380 non-NEBS can accommodate more than 16 drives. This option will require SAS enablement kit to support additional drives

However, ensure that your choices meet the minimum requirements specified in the VMware Knowledge Base
