Red Hat Subscription management

Your system must be registered with the Red Hat Customer Portal using the Red Hat Subscription-Manager. This subscription is required to download the RHEL 7.6 OS, the dependent packages, and update the RHEL repositories.

The Red Hat Subscription registration can be performed in the following two scenarios:

• If the Telco Blueprint is installed and configured at the HPE location, the Red Hat Subscription registration and unregistration must be performed as described in the following steps:

  1. Register the Red Hat Subscription with HPE credentials before starting the Telco Blueprint installation.

     NOTE:

     Contact HPE Sales and Support team for Red Hat subscription credentials.

  2. After the installation is completed, but before shutting down the Telco Blueprint, unregister the HPE Red Hat Subscription.

  3. After the Telco Blueprint is deployed at the customer site, the customer can optionally register the Red Hat Subscription again with their credentials.

• If the Telco Blueprint is installed and configured at the customer location, the Red Hat Subscription registration must be performed using the Red Hat Subscription credentials of the customer.
