Recommended NIC specifications

The following table provides information on the NIC specifications that have been validated as part of a Telco Blueprint, reason to consider them, and customization options.

Master node (Intel-based)

The master nodes are HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Servers with dual socket Gen2 Intel Xeon scalable family processors.

Worker node (Intel-based)

The worker nodes are HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Servers with dual socket  Gen2 Intel Xeon scalable family processors.

  • FLR: HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port 640FLR-SFP28 Adapter

  • PCIe: 2 x HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port 661SFP28 Adapter

Cost-effective, dependable server networking products that keep IT running reliably and at peak performance.

  • FLR: Serviced by CPU1

  • PCIe:  Serviced by CPU1 and CPU2

    • PCIe slot1 is configured for OVS-DPDK

    • PCIe slot3 is configured for SRIOV

  • Support for acceleration technologies – SRIOV and DPDK as required by the workloads.

  • If customer does not require both technologies on the same compute node, a single NIC can be used and configured for one technology (either SRIOV or OVS-DPDK).

  • OCP3: 1 x HPE 10/25GbE 2P SFP28 MCX562A OCP3 Adapter
