HPE Telco Blueprint Virtual Infrastructure Manager options

In close technical collaboration with leading VIM and SDN partners, HPE Telco Blueprints offers end-to-end support for solutions that are optimally designed and validated.

HPE Telco Blueprint solution can be deployed with one of the following VIMs:
  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP)

  • VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

Red Hat OpenStack Platform

HPE Telco Blueprints in combination with Red Hat OpenStack has created a platform that provides the power of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with Red Hat OpenStack technology to deliver a scalable and secure foundation to build and manage cloud.

To know more about Red Hat OpenStack Platform, see Red Hat Product Documentation.

VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack

VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack is a fully-integrated, modular, and multi-tenant NFV platform. HPE Telco Blueprints provides a validated solution that uses VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack as VIM for the core networks that includes ESXi to virtualize the compute resources, NSX for virtual networking, and vSAN for storage.

For detailed information about the VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack platform and its components, see VMware Documentation.

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

HPE Telco Blueprints in combination with Red Hat OpenShift has created a reliable platform for deploying and scaling container based applications. Red Hat OpenShift is built on open source innovation and industry standards, including Kubernetes and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

To know more about Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, see Red Hat Product Documentation.

Deploying VIM

You can choose to deploy RHOSP or VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack or RHOCP as a standalone component or use the NPS toolkit to deploy it along with the networking, compute, and the storage components. For more information on the deployment procedures, see:
  • Deploying RHOSP - to deploy the Red Hat OpenStack Platform

  • Deploying VMware - to deploy the VMware vCloud NFV OpenStack Platform

  • Deploying RHOCP - to deploy the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform on either baremetal or OpenStack
