DBS001

DBS001 Only the SUPER.SUPER user can execute InstallDBS.

Cause

A user other than SUPER.SUPER installed database services (DBS).

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Run the installation script as SUPER.SUPER.

DBS002

DBS002 SUPER.SUPER must be a SQL/MX Security Administrator.

Cause

SUPER.SUPER is not configured as a SQL/MX Security Administrator.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Configure SUPER.SUPER as a SQL/MX Security Administrator and then run the installation.

DBS003

DBS003 $ZSMP is not running, please start Safeguard.

Cause

$ZSMP is not running.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Start Safeguard and then run the installation.

DBS004

DBS004 The command line argument argument is invalid.

Where,

argument is the invalid command line argument.

Cause

You entered an invalid command line argument for the installation script.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Specify valid command line arguments and run the installation.

DBS005

DBS005 Duplicate command line argument argument.

Where,

argument is the duplicate command line argument.

Cause

You entered a duplicate command line argument for the installation script.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Specify the nonduplicate command line arguments and run the installation.

DBS006

DBS006 Required value for argument argument is missing.

Where,

argument is the affected command line argument. It is -vols, -config, or -adminPW.

Cause

You did not specify a value for a command line argument that requires a value.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Specify valid arguments and run the installation.

DBS007

DBS007 The file-spec file file-name does not exist.

Where,

file-spec is either general configuration or volume configuration.

file-name is the specified file name that does not exist.

Cause

You specified a file name for the –config / - vols command line option that does not exist.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Specifying an existing file and then run the installation.

DBS008

DBS008 Configuration item item-name cannot be empty.

Where,

fitem-name is the name of a configuration item from the general configuration file.

Cause

You did not specify any value for the configuration item in the general configuration file.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file and then run the installation.

DBS009

DBS009 Safeguard returned unexpected result for type name: text.

Where,

type is the type of the affected Safeguard object, such as ALIAS or USER.

name is the name of the affected Safeguard object.

text is the SAFECOM error text.

Cause

Safeguard throws an error while executing the installation script.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Investigate and correct the Safeguard error, and then run the installation.

DBS010

DBS010 Invalid format for configuration item item-name: value is not a number.

Where,

item-name is the name of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

value is the value of the configuration item specified in the general configuration file.

Cause

You specified a non numeric value for a configuration item that must have a numeric value.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file, and then run the installation.

DBS011

DBS011 Invalid format for configuration item item-name: lower bound of interval interval must be less than higher bound.

Where,

item-name is the name of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

interval is the specified interval for configuration item from the general configuration file.

Cause

You specified an invalid interval for a configuration item that can contain an interval.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file, and then run the installation.

DBS012

DBS012 item-type is/are known to Safeguard: item-name.

Where,

item-type is the type of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

item-name is the name of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

Cause

You specified an item that exists in Safeguard.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file or the Safeguard configuration, and then run the installation.

DBS013

DBS013 The following configured CPU(s) is/are not running: CPUs.

Where,

CPU is the CPU that is not running.

Cause

One or more of the CPUs specified in the general configuration file is not running.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file or bring up the CPUs, and then run the installation.

DBS014

DBS014 item-type group prefix prefix is longer than num characters.

Where,

item-type is the type of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

prefix is the group prefix specified in the general configuration file.

num is the maximum number of characters the prefix can have. User group can have a prefix with five characters and file-sharing group can have a prefix with 27 characters.

Cause

You specified a group prefix in the general configuration file that is too long.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file, and then run the installation.

DBS015

DBS015 item-type item-name is already configured.

Where,

item-type is the type of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

item-name is the name of the configuration item from the general configuration file.

Cause

You specified a generic process name or NSK process name in the general configuration file that is already configured for the NSK generic process.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file or the NSK generic process configuration, and then run the installation.

DBS016

DBS016 Invalid content in volume-config-file, the following is/are not a TMF datavol: volumes.

Where,

volume-config-file is the name of the volume configuration file specified with the –vols command line option.

volumes is the name of the specified volumes that are not TMF datavols.

Cause

One or more of the configured volumes is not a TMF datavol.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the volume configuration file or the TMF datavol configuration, then rerun the installation.

DBS017

DBS017 Cannot do –cleanup while databases still exist.

Cause

The –cleanup option is specified and databases still exist.

Effect

The cleanup fails.

Recovery

Remove all databases and then run the cleanup.

DBS018

DBS018 DBS is not installed.

Cause

The –cleanup option is specified and the DBS is not installed.

Effect

None, as the DBS already is cleaned up.

DBS019

DBS019 Invalid value number for configuration item item: Legal values must be between lower-bound and higher-bound, both inclusive.

Where,

number is the specified directory from the general configuration file.

item is the name of the configuration item.

lower-bound is the lowest legal value for the configuration item.

higher-bound is the highest legal value for the configuration item.

Cause

You have specified a numeric configuration item with a value that falls outside the legal interval.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file and then run the installation.

DBS020

DBS020 text is an existing OSS directory.

Where,

text is the specified directory from the general configuration file.

Cause

You specified a value for DATABASE_OSS_HOME that is an existing OSS directory.

Effect

The installation fails.

Recovery

Correct the general configuration file and then run the installation.

DBS021

DBS021 Volume/cpu mismatch for volume volume.

Where,

volume is the affected volume.

Cause

The volume has primary or backup DP2 process in the CPU that is not part of the CPU configuration.

Effect

The installation is canceled.

Recovery

Correct the configuration and then rerun the installation.

DBS022

DBS022 Volume volume has no backup DP2 process.

Where,

volume is the affected volume.

Cause

The volume has no backup DP2 process. This typically happens if one or more CPUs on the system is down during the installation time combined with the use of default general configuration specification.

Effect

The installation is canceled.

Recovery

Make sure that all the CPUs are running and then rerun the installation.
