Granting privileges on PL/MX functions

Prerequisites
To grant privileges on PL/MX functions, log in as:

  • The PL/MX function owner

  • The owner of the Schema that contains the PL/MX function

  • The Security Administrator

  • The SUPER.SUPER user if the Security Administrator group is empty

Procedure

  1. Log on to the NonStop SQL/MX Database Manager.
  2. In the navigation tree, select Database > My Systems > Catalogs > Schemas.
  3. Expand the Functions folder and select a function.
  4. Right-click on a PL/MX function, and select Grant/Revoke Privileges.

    The Grant option is selected by default.

  5. In the Grantee section, select Public to grant privileges to all users.

    Or, select Specified Users option to grant privileges to specific users.

    If Specified Users option is selected, the user grid is enabled.

  6. Optional. In the user grid, select the required user name to select a user.

    Or, press Ctrl and click the desired user names to select multiple users.

  7. Optional. To grant privileges on behalf of some other user, select By User option and select the user name in the corresponding drop-down menu.
  8. Optional. Select With Grant Option to grant the privileges and allow the grantees to grant the privileges to other users.
  9. Click Grant.
