Syntax

comment <COMMENT>

no comment <COMMENT>

Description

Specifies a text string as a descriptive comment for the mirroring session.

The no form of this command removes the comment from the configuration of the mirroring session.

Command context

config-mirror-n

(n is the mirroring session ID.)

Parameters

<COMMENT>

Specifies a descriptive comment for the mirroring session. A string up to 64 characters and can include letters, numbers, underscores, dashes, spaces, and periods.

Usage

Specifies a textual string as a descriptive comment for the mirroring session.

Comments are optional and can be added or removed at any time without affecting the state of the mirroring session.

Adding a comment to a session that already has a comment replaces the existing comment.

The no form of this command removes the comment from the configuration of the mirroring session.

Examples

Adding a comment or replacing an existing comment:

switch(config-mirror-3)# comment This Mirror will be removed during next maintenance window

Removing the comment for mirroring session 3:

switch(config-mirror-3)# no comment
