Syntax

diagnostic monitor [{fabric | fan | module} [<MEMBER/SLOT>]} | rear-display-module]

no diagnostic monitor [{fabric | fan | module} [<MEMBER/SLOT>]} | rear-display-module]

Description

Enables runtime diagnostics for all modules or for a specified module. This feature is enabled by default for all modules.

The no form of this command disables runtime diagnostics for all modules or for a specified module.

[fabric | fan | module]

Selects the options for enabling or disabling runtime diagnostics for a specific module.

fabric

Specifies the enabling of diagnostic monitoring specific to a fabric module.

fan

Specifies the enabling of diagnostic monitoring specific to a fan tray.

module

Specifies the enabling of diagnostic monitoring specific to a management or line module.

<MEMBER/SLOT>

Specifies the member/slot for management modules (1/5 or 1/6), line modules (1/1-1/4, 1/7-1/10), fan modules (1/1-1/3), and fabric modules(1/1-1/3). Some switches (such as the Aruba 8400 Switch Series), use the format member/slot (for example, 1/1).

rear-display-module

Specifies the enabling of diagnostic monitoring specific to the rear display module.

Usage

When no parameters are used in the command (diagnostic monitor or no diagnostic monitor), the command applies to all modules. This command impacts the diagnostics that run periodically. It does not affect on-demand diagnostics.
