Enabling TimeP in DHCP Mode

Because the switch provides a TimeP polling interval (default:720 minutes), you need only these two commands for a minimal TimeP DHCP configuration:

Syntax: 


timesync timep

Selects TimeP as the time synchronization method.

Syntax: 


ip timep dhcp

Configures DHCP as the TimeP mode.

For example, suppose:

  • Time Synchronization is configured for SNTP.

  • You want to:

    • View the current time synchronization.

    • Select TimeP as the synchronization mode.

    • Enable TimeP for DHCP mode.

    • View the TimeP configuration.
