Controlling WebAgent access

To help prevent unauthorized access through the WebAgent, do one or more of the following:

  1. Configure the switch to support RADIUS authentication for WebAgent access.
    1. Configure local authentication (a manager user name and password and, optionally, an operator user name and password) on the switch.
    2. Configure the switch’s Authorized IP manager feature to allow WebAgent access only from authorized management stations. (The Authorized IP manager feature does not interfere with TACACS+ operation.)
  2. Use one of the following methods to disable WebAgent access to the switch via http (Port 80):
    1. CLI: no web-management
    2. From the menu interface, select Main > Number2: Switch Configuration > Number 1: System Information > WebAgent Enabled=No.
